Overview

Tab Manager is a Chrome extension that helps you organize your browser tabs in a side panel. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the extension accesses and how it is handled.

Data Collection

Tab Manager does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.

The extension does not use analytics, tracking, cookies, or any external services. There is no server — the extension runs entirely in your browser.

Permissions Explained

• tabs — Used to read tab titles, URLs, and states so they can be displayed and organized in the side panel. This data never leaves your browser.
• tabGroups — Used to create and manage native Chrome tab groups when you choose to group tabs by domain.
• sidePanel — Used to display the tab management interface in Chrome's side panel.
• storage — Used to save your preferences (theme, language, banner position) locally in Chrome. No data is synced externally.
• Content script (all URLs) — Used solely to display a small clickable banner on the edge of web pages for quick access to the side panel. The content script does not read, modify, or transmit any page content.

Data Storage

Your preferences (theme, language, banner position) are stored locally using Chrome's built-in storage API. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted anywhere.

Third-Party Services

Tab Manager does not communicate with any external servers, APIs, or third-party services. It operates entirely offline within your browser.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL. Material changes will be noted in the extension's update notes.
